Yes, you heard me right! rbcg is reopening and thank God! I didn’t think SL would be the same without this great store. I mean if you were like me and heard the news of rbcg closing, you were sad and wanted to contact Kyrsten Jigsaw yourself and beg and plead for her not to close.
I am assuming that the 3 page letter I wrote and SL stalking worked…lol (kidding I really didn’t do that) But regardless rbcg is back and in full effect! The owner is (as if you didn’t know) Kyrsten Jigsaw. She has redone the store and It looks fabulous! As always Kyrsten’s creative talent is evident through this fabulous rebuild.
Now I was able to get a sneak preview of what the new store looked like and yes it’s as cool as you think it is…Do I have pictures? Maybe…lol Am I going to share? Possibility… lol But before I do let me share with you my one on one with Kyrsten Jigsaw, the genius behind what is rbcg!
[15:30] SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Beginning interview with Kyrsten Jigsaw at 3:30 pm slt
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Good afternoon Kyrsten, How are you doing? I know you are excited about Reopening tomorrow?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: I am great! Yes, very excited.. I thought it would never get finished. lol
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Great! I know I am definitely excited to see you back open. Well as we all know you are the owner of the awesome rbcg and coordinator of Project Themeory, what made you decide to open a store within sl and also be involved with Project Themeory?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: Well, from the moment I made an account for Second Life, I was intrigued at all of the possibilities, and what caught my eye was the ability to create whatever you want, and about a week in I was already trying to figure out clothing layers and moved on from there. Regarding Project Themeory, one of my friends ran an event called Weekend Fever, which was very successful- but she could no longer run it, so a friend of mine and I came up with our own little event to benefit all of our favorite stores!
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Cool! I remember my first time visiting your store, I love all your items and always make it a point to stop by and see whats new. Project Themeory was a good idea and I make sure I partake in it every weekend, So kudos for doing such a great job!
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: What inspires you to make the items that you do?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: Thanks! And I figure that most people come on Second Life and want to look something out of the “norm” and something you typically wouldn’t see in “real life” so I go out of the box and create unusual yet stylish garb. :]
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: So true, cause I would certainly love to have this hair I have on in RL…lol
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: What as been your favorite creation you made so far?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: I’m not really sure to be honest, every time I make something new it becomes my new favorite, then when my next release is due I hate the old item. Hah, I’m really hard on myself about my items.
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Aww you shouldn’t be, you are very talented. But as one creator to another I know what you mean.
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: What was your inspiration behind the remodeling of rbcg?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: Well, I wanted something that will keep me happy for a while, like I said I get tired of my items so something that would sustain in my book, and something spacious, but honestly I just started building and worked from there. Most of the time my items are done spontaneously. :]
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: You sound like my bestie…lol She gets tired of what she has made and before I can even get used to her new items she’s on to something else…lol But that spontaneity is what keep your fans coming back 🙂
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: But in that regard, what can we expect from Kyrsten Jigsaw in the future at rbcg?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: Well, I’ve been working on quite a bit of clothing, and I am going to really try to focus on creating and releasing some hair, but as always you know I’ll be releasing some random items here and there. Also, not rbcg. related but I will be designing for Tyranny D. within the next month, so expect some lovely releases that aren’t of the rbcg. element soon.
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Oooh….Sound exciting and can’t wait! One more question Kyrsten, does rbcg stand for anything and if so what is it’s mean?
Kyrsten Jigsaw: You know, I get asked that question all the time- and it really doesn’t, I just give random answers to everyone normally because I am a smart ass but in reality it means nothing.
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: dead…lol
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: I can only imagine some of the random meanings you have probably came up with in the past…lol
Kyrsten Jigsaw: 😛
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Well thank you Kyrsten for taking the time to talk with me it was a pleasure and please continue doing what you doing….SL was going to be a sad place if rbcg didn’t reopen.
Kyrsten Jigsaw: Aw thank you, if it weren’t for all of my amazing customers who gave me motivation and my boyfriend who wouldn’t let keep rbcg. closed, I don’t know where I’d be now. :]
SpoiledRotten Mahogany: Woot! yay for boyfriend and customers! We definitely do appreciate you and your work 🙂
